How Our Mission Has Grown Since 1948
Founded in 1948 as the Bays Medical Society in Panama City, our organization began by supporting the physicians and patients of Bay County. As the medical landscape evolved, so did we. In 2014, we expanded our reach and became the Emerald Coast Medical Association, uniting physicians across Northwest Florida with the shared mission of empowering doctors to deliver the highest quality patient care.
Today, ECMA serves physicians in 10 counties across the region, from rural inland communities to coastal practices. Our history of growth reflects our commitment to standing alongside physicians wherever they practice.
