This past weekend, Daniel “Skip” Daube, MD, Andy Borom, MD and Michelle Flaat, Executive Director from the Emerald Coast Medical Association joined colleagues and physician leaders from across Florida at the FMA Board of Governors meeting—right in the heart of a Disney property! While they tackled serious issues facing physicians and patients statewide, they also embraced a little magic, donning Disney attire and celebrating what makes our medical community truly special.
From analyzing legislative challenges to strategizing solutions, the focus was clear: Helping Physicians Practice Medicine. Thanks to the Herculean efforts of the FMA PAC, we averted harmful legislation that could have impacted both doctors and patients. But the work is far from over. We need more physicians at the table, sharing their voices and fighting for the future of medicine in Florida.
